Christmas is fast approaching. And as a tradition, MIG (Management Information Group), the department that I am belonged to in Megaworld, started this early for gift giving. Last year, I wasn't able to join the Kris Kringle which they tagged as Bonito-Bonita (named after one of our associates, Bon) because I was on leave due to my delicate pregnancy.
We decided to use code names to make it fun and somehow mysterious. We put our name on a piece of paper with our codes and indicated our gender then we gave it to our receptionist, which we are all thankful because she's so sport. She just rewrite it (so that no one recognize the penmanship) before we picked for our babies.
Because I don't have much time to think what would be my code, I just decided to use "Amie". You may ask why? It's just that that's the name Gian is calling me...I think short for Mommy... =)
Last Saturday, we already picked for our babies. I picked someone with the code "PERTFETTER". At first I thought that she's (it is indicated that she's a female) our Boss (or she might really be) for who would use such a code. It wasn't even a word or a name. I'm thinking that maybe because of the mancom meeting with the goal "DRIVE FOR PERFECTION", our Boss decided to use that code. I just can't believe it because the code is so gay. I just hope it is not really her because her wishlists are so expensive.
Today is the first day for "Something". I feel proud that I am the one who thinks what is the theme for our Kris Kringle. It is "something blue". Price would be P 50.00. Actually I almost forgot to buy a gift. It's just a good thing that after going to the church last night, I went to a supermarket to buy cotton and I passed by some Christmas gift wrappers. I stopped for a while staring at the wrappers and remembered that I need to buy a gift. I rushed to Mercury Drug to look for hand sanitizer. I got two blue ones (those sanitizers with handle that could be attached to bags like keychain). So sad that I didn't took a photo of them.
When I arrived at the office this morning, it wasn't wrapped yet. I just used scratched paper for a wrapper. I had a hard time hiding my gift from my associates before I finally put it in a box located at our reception area. Same thing with the gift I got. I need to borrow an envelope from our cleaning woman to conceal my gift because its bulky.
Well here is the picture of the gift that I got.
Fred and I ate it inside the movie house earlier. Then Mama finished eating its contents when I arrived home.
Next Monday, something "LONG".

Gian's First Trick or Treat
October 26, 2012 Megaworld Corp, World Centre Building
It was Gian's first Trick or Treat event. Fred, Mama & I were so excited! The theme for this year is Superhero which makes me disappointed because I was imagining her to be in a princess or fairy costume. I'm just glad that my creative mind worked.
Gian have a Batgirl costume which was first used in Anton's (one of my godson) birthday party.
(taken when Gian was only 5mos old)
Her costume is lavender with yellow bat print on front, black pants and a black cape which is attached to the mask (see attached photo below of Gian's exact costume).
My real objective is to let Gian wear a tutu so she would look as Batgirl princess (still not giving up on the princess theme!) So I asked Lois (an office mate) to accompany me to buy a tutu for Gian with the same color as her costume and off we go to SM Makati.
Searching for a tutu with lavender color was not that easy. There is yellow, orange and black but we can't find a lavender one. Till we came across some fairy costume and we saw this lavender colored fairy costume with wings and wand. To make the story short, I bought the costume along with a purple leggings.
I cut the sleeves of the Batgirl costume short and Fred also cut it with design. Then I cut the cape from the mask and Fred sew it to the costume's shoulder and viola! The costume has a new twist on it.
I'm just happy that Gian didn't complain wearing her costume on the event. Here are some of Gian's photos with her altered costume. =))
